At 02:09 am on Dec. 28th, 2011, the first heat of AOD in No.2 Steel Making Plant (North) was successfully tapped. Till that time, TISCO’s stainless steel production reached 3 million ton, the annual target for stainless steel production. It is a symbolic event in TISCO’s stainless steel history. It adds luster to the first year of TISCO’s “twelfth-five”. In 2011, confronted by complicated and severe state, TISCO positively brought forward the target of 3 million ton of stainless steel annual output. To realise this target, the whole company work hard shoulder to shoulder, with all departments and plants in charge of marketing, manufacturing, technology and quality cooperating with each other in eliminating difficulties and developing solutions, and working toghther to make sure the annual target to come true. Each unit of the company pools wisdom and efforts of everyone to track and research each step, such as contract ordering, the coordination between production and sales, steel making, rolling, process tracing, quality assurence, technical support, etc.; to continuouly make innovation in production control mode and raise the production management level; to escort TISCO’s stainless steel production line. The operation and management of each process are developing to an accurate, scientific and proper trend. Under the collabrative effort of all flow processes and all staff, a lot of bottleneck problems in terms of power limitation, contract, technology process, quality and equipment are overcome, the whole stainless steel production line is improved, output per heat is raised, single-cast heats are decreased, continuous cast heats are increased, rejected and non-comfirming products are declined. By the end of November, the actual production had catched up with production plan. In the mean time, obvious achievement has been gained in new variety development and quality improvement for stainless steel, a new lot of stainless steel products are put into application in new industries and fields. In December, the efforts of each department and plant made the company run in a smoother way. TISCO people are full of confidence in achieving and supassing the target before the end of the old year. It is a glory for TISCO employees to witness the significant moment when the dream of several generations of TISCO people finally come true.
