Shanxi Province-based Chinese steel producer Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group has achieved 112.6% of annual planned axle shaft steel production up to date, consisting 92% domestic market share.

Taiyuan Steel states that it has developed car axle shaft steel for high-speed passenger train production in line with the development of national high-speed railway, meeting all the requirement of European standards. Its export volume of axle shaft steel has exceeded 7,000 tonnes.
